Review of Sold Out! 1985 Music London // 2023
E1 is my fave venue, sound system is great and you can always find a bit of space if you need to. Crowd was friendly and the vibes were immaculate. And of course, nothing but straight slammers from the artists playing. 1000/10

Review of Sold Out! 1985 Music London // 2023
Hi,
me and my mates went to this event, because we are huge junglists and something like this cant be found in germany - and we really loocked forward for this one.
The music/artists were realy good, as we had ecpected it. The Soundsystem (on both floors) and the lightinstallation (at least on the main floor) were wicked as f**k and really enjoyable, although 50% of the "lightpower" would have been totally enough - but that wasnt bad.
What was bad:
1.) The venue: If margaret tatcher's idea of capitalism would be a club, it would be the E1. the party was over booked with at least 300 people to much. The toilet-situation was a totally disaster with about 6 urinals and 5 stalls for over 2000 people (i dont want to know, how it was for the ladies). The AC was a mess: You needed a jacket on the second floor, while you could barly breath on the main floor. There were no seats / chillarea were you could come down for a second.
2.) The prices: the wardrobe was way to expensive: 3,5 per item?? 3,5 for your jacket and sweater together would be expensive but acceptable, but 7 pound for 2 items ... ComeOn!
I know that parties in UK are more expensive than in germany, so its okay if you pay 7 pound for a small beer or 13,5 for a longdrink. But if you get just a half cup full af gin-tonic, while the tonic doesnt even comes from a bottle but from a tube, you feel like a fool. The whole bar sitation was like an assembly line - no good feeling, no positive vibes, just "buy and f**k off". If you want your cup filled, there was no place for variablities - like all the stuff is just hired from event to event and no one from the stuff identifies with the club or club culture in some way and does just work to the rule, while the rules aren't "hey nice that you are here, lets have a good night together" rather than "profit maximization".
The Party, the Lineup, the soundsystem and light were realy lealy great, but the venue was no fun at all!!
Have a good one peepz!

Really nice spot, the sound system in each room is very good
The third room with the little sound system behind is a really good idea when you wanna take a little break.
Just one point which disappointed me :
The smoking area is too small. We were stuck between the road and the building with not enough space

Review of Sold Out! 1985 Music London // 2023
The music was amazing! Love 1985.
However the sold out event was too crowded… couldn’t move, couldn’t dance, 20 mins to get a cup of water (as they didn’t have water stations in case it got spiked 🥲) , too many people crammed into one space… at points it didn’t feel safe it was so busy!
Overpriced drinks but its London so what can you do.
Over all I didn’t enjoy myself, left early. But again, the music was amazing.
