Review of Garage Nation\'s Brunch & Garage
Didn't like that tables and chairs where taken away when the free alcohol and food had stopped.
Which means having to stand for the next 4 hrs and dance, and sometimes you need a minute to sit, have a drink and enjoy the vibes.

Review of Fade Every Wednesday @ Fire & Lightbox London
I feel slightly mugged off with drink prices as one room charged me £10 for a double gin and lemonade and another room charged me £7, I feel as though it’s taking advantage of customers and the venue was extremely hot but other than that it was an amazing event which amazing music in every room, can’t wait to go back. :)

Review of Garage Nation\'s Brunch & Garage
As a massive Garage Nation fan I was really looking forward to the event having been to other brunches (Garage Brunch and UKG Brunch), but this fell short in my expectations for a number or reasons on reflection.
Lack of promotional information - I did not feel the event was as well attended as it could have been. Given that the GN festival had happened a couple of weeks before hand I was expecting a rammed event, and normally on the promotional flyer you would have the artists who were performing but there was no mention of them so I think this played a part in not enticing down a crowd especially when the competitors at UKG Brunch had Pied Piper, Martin Larner, PSG and DT at The Steel Yard in London.
Food - In comparison to the other aforementioned brunches we were provided with the food menu option choices in advance so we could indicate our preferences. For this event we got an email a couple of days before just asking about dietary requirements so was shocked at the pizza that came out. Although the matter was rectified by the promoters this would have assisted them to know how many people to cater for I feel especially as some members of our party had indicated their dietary requirements this was not taken into account. On the drink side this is where GN scores highly against their competitors as they provided a variety of drinks where the other brunches just provide you with the rum punch.
Music - No qualms here although it would have been good to have a bit of variety in DJ's. What the event needs though is a host and not an MC that is just going to spit their lyrics. As an example we were all asked to come up with a table name, but it was not really used for anything and again in comparison this is something that the other brunches do well. They have entertainment or things to keep the crowd engaged and wanting more. I saw one table just up and leave in front of us after the food and drink had been consumed and this should not be happening.
Venue and Atmosphere - If had not been for the big group seated on the first couple of tables who were up and dancing first as they had a couple of joint birthdays the atmosphere would have been very flat. Where the venue does not have its own toilets or designated smoking area there was a constant stream of people in and out which at times made the venue look empty which then resulted in people standing up and gazing at the stage when they should be shacking out, but I appreciate this is down to personal choice.
This review is provided with the best intentions to help shape future Garage Nation brunch events.
