Review of The Hedkandi Xmas Party @ Glam Shoreditch

So pleased to have hed kandi still, good atmosphere, music and good venue. Friendly vibes 

Sadly a few ppl didn't show up because they were scared of going out but the club and hed kandi did everything possible to keep and make people safe. Thanks for a great night!

It could have been a great event but it wasn’t.
It seems no sound checks were done at all, especially with the singers. They all had good voices but they did sound like they were doing karaoke and shouting, not singing.
Also, Why so many of them? It felt as if we were in Britain’s got talent, rather than at a clubbing event. Only we were standing up,  watching them singing in the dark, a spotlight on them would have helped. 
When the DJs were on, the bass sound was too distorted, especially on half of the room, that’s why everyone stayed on the other half of the room and towards the back. 
It did really feel like the DJs and organisers were too upset about the low turnout and their work reflected that.  It felt like they were giving their 30%, rather than their 120% ,  the ‘main guy’ never even made an effort to connect to the public through the music he was playing, he just kept going off the booth to have pics taken, kiss others, and disappeared for long periods, making it too obvious his set was pre-recorded and he was not mixing tracks. He was clearly acting like he did not want to be there for the audience, like the few people who did turn up did not matter. 
This event was clearly organised for the organisers enjoyment and not for the public.  They clearly were NOT there to serve those of us who DID turn out and travelled 2 hrs to be there and who may have been going through 2 tough years with all this pandemic and had a lot of stress to release through dancing.
I had not attended a HEDKANDI event since I went to one in Ibiza back in 2009, when I lived there for 5 yrs. 
It was sad to experience how this franchise events have deteriorated.  I was expecting an amazing night and with the sound system quality being so poor it was obvious whoever is in charge of the whole operation did not care about having a high standard.
Sad, really.  I won’t be attending any other HEDKANDI event in the future.
