A bit about Carmolina

Carmolina is a fierce exotic singer, Pianist, and performing artist, and a multi-dimensional artist delivering art from the cosmos. Through her journey she expresses the feminine divine, path to liberation cultural awareness. Her Stage performances are exotic and energetic highlighting the essence of the tradition of hip movements to the beat and rhythm of the drum.

Carmolina has earned the nickname "gypsy" for being a world citizen, born in America and raised in Germany with Native American, Caribbean Latina, Egyptian, French, and Scottish ancestry. Carmolina celebrates all her cultures writing music lyrics in English, Spanish, Yoruba, and using essence of native american chants from the depths of her inner soul, which she calls the "cosmos". 

You will hear lots of Ululation in her songs known as trilling or lele which is a long wavering, high pitched vocal sound resembling a howl with a trilling quality.                 

 Being the eclectic being that she is, she has traveled to every part of the world and experienced ethnic backgrounds first handed. She has also, traveled many parts of the world which expanded her diverse musical sound and cultural awareness. All of this cultural energy is reflected in her music.

Her musical sound is a "global experience" with Afro Latin fusion influences, Afrobeats, and Pop. Carmolina draws in many styles of music and creates her own unique eclectic style. Carmolina is a beautiful cultural clash of rhythm and beauty.

 From 2012-present she has released 2 albums, 8 singles, featured on 3 artist projects, opened for renown Nigerian artist "Flavour"-Lyon France, performed at the Fifa World Cup Durban South Africa, collaborated with renowned Jamaican artist "Sizzla Kalonji", performed at" Sundiata Festival"-Seattle Washington USA, Midem Spotlight Artist- Cannes France, performed at "La Teleton" San Jose Costa Rica, Sum Fest Montego Bay Jamaica, Peter Tosh Birthday Celebration in Westmoreland Jamaica,  Festival de las Medinas-Tunis Tunisia, other performances in Germany, Switzerland, Nigeria, Egypt, Morocco, Ethiopia..just to name a few and many more appearances around the world.

In 2022 she was a nominee for best upcoming artist in the genre of Afrobeats at Headies Music Awards. In 2023 and 2019 she received awards in Costa Rica La Teleton for being best supportive artist in contribution to fundraising money for children's hospitals in Costa Rica. In 2012 she won best performing artist at "The African Caribbean Day Festival" in Detroit Michigan..
