New Orleans funk band The Big Smoke Family bring their electrifying performance for a very special show celebrating the release of their new album, ‘Empire’. Expect a night of infectious street beats that will get you dancing, Mardi Gras Indian chants that will get you singing, and a performance the likes of which you can expect in the French Quarter of New Orleans!
The band will be joined on the night by very special guests from the blues and brass band scene for an unforgettable NOLA-style party. With credits that include performing with the Mardi Gras Indians at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, Rebirth Brass Band, Zigaboo (The Meters), over 80 sold-out shows at Ronnie Scott’s, and many festival headline sets, The Big Smoke Family have firmly established themselves as the UK’s leading New Orleans funk band.
The night will be rounded off with DJ sets from long-time Big Smoke Family collaborator and Soho Radio host, DJ Kobayashi, playing a range of music from global funk to world beats and Middle Eastern grooves.
