Jollibee, the flagship brand of Asia’s largest food service company, Jollibee Foods Corporation, is celebrating its UK debut by giving the brand’s world-famous crispylicious and juicylicious Chickenjoy to the first 100 customers on opening day, October 20! Jollibee’s signature Chickenjoy is voted one of the best fried chicken dishes in the US which is delicately breaded to be crispylicious on the outside, and its secret marinade makes it juicylicious on the inside. The brand, which has over 1,300 restaurants around the world, has announced the free Chickenjoy giveaway to celebrate its opening day on Saturday 20th October and to mark the very first ‘National Chickenjoy Day’. This kicks off the annual celebration of spreading the joy of jolly good fried chicken to everyone in the UK, kids and adults alike. Thousands of die-hard Jollibee fans who are already in a frenzy on social media - and London’s fried chicken fans - are expected to queue from the early hours for a taste of ‘Chickenjoy’ and other dishes from Jollibee’s menu, available for the first time in the UK. A recent opening in Milan saw thousands travel from across the continent to queue up for more than nine hours to taste the renowned menu, which has been dubbed the “wackiest, jolliest place on earth” by US celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain. The iconic brand chose London’s Earl’s Court, historically known as one of the city’s popular cultural centers, to open its first UK store. Doors will open at the earlier-than-usual time of 8am to accommodate the expected mass excitement around the opening.
