About

"The Neuroscience of Art" delves into the rising field of neuroaesthetics, and with it the intricate and fundamental relationship between the human brain and artistic expression and appreciation. Neuroscience is revealing just how powerful art is, creating long-lasting physiological and neurological changes. Through an interdisciplinary lens, this talk examines how this new understanding of how art can impact the brain and body to drive emotion, creativity, memories and even connection we can better curate the world around us. We explore what this means for our own lived experiences and how we can use it to design spaces and experiences that support and impact our wellbeing in an increasingly accessible way.

Doors open at 7pm, talk starts at 7.30pm - come down early to grab a good seat!

Rooted in the transdisciplinary process of Science-Informed Design, their studio synthesises science into ideas, experiences and curation, while their lab uses mobile brain-body technology to measure, iterate and amplify these in real-world environments.

As a bridge between academic labs and the creative sector, their work spans sonics, psychedelics, multimodal interaction and sensory perception, working with partners at the forefront of science, technology and the creative arts.
