Review of Romesh Ranganathan\'s Hip Hop Saved My New Years Eve!
Romesh’s Halloween Party was a good example of a night out in a Hip Hop Style. This NYE was horrendous. Poor quality choice in hip hop, DJs had not style of mixing at all, just stopping and starting tracks. Romesh did a good intro and countdown. Then he disappeared, he was completely different on halloween party, by that I mean funny and engaging with the crowd. Overall a Truly poor performance to end a really crap year, I stuck around to see one dj with some skills perform, in all honesty he could have done better, considering he was an expert in this field. Venue is is clean and we kept, security is thorough but not bombarding and the bar service was friendly and had good numbers to keep the drinks flowing smoothly, so thank you to them and i wish them a great start to the new year. Will give it one more go next year. DJS who play hip hop…..please know your hip hop and how to spin them at shows. ??

Review of Oliver Smith – London
Got off to a poor start as we got to the club at 11pm and had to wait in the cold for half an hour as the previous show had overrun. We didn't get in till 11.30 which meant we had missed half of the first dj's set.
The female security were rude all night bossing people around for no reason. I feel like she was in the wrong job as she didn't appear happy doing her job. I also don't feel it's right to make women empty all their bag contents on to the table for Everyone in the queue to see. However the bar staff were friendly.
To top it off the tap flew off in the toilet and water sprayed me from the waist down. Luckily the atmosphere from the dj's outweighed the negatives.

Review of Oliver Smith – London
I guess its sufficient to say that he left the CDJ for at least 30-45 seconds MID set. I have never seen any DJ do that at any moment anywhere unless they were leaving.
He was unable to keep the vibe, and guide the crowd. I thought I was being arrogant but he literally transisioned through 5 different genres in under 5 minutes... and I timed it with my phone twice to make sure I was not crazy. I am not an expert in electronic music and I was able to tell it was awful.
Finally, the first hour or so of his set comprised of some cool parts from different electro music genres, franksteined together into one thing that was worse than all the original bits split apart. The DJ that opened up before him, while not the best, was better than him by a mile. Maybe next time he should open for her and let her be the attraction instead.
PS: when we left the venue was emptier than when we got there... and there was still almost half the show to go.
Dont waste your time and money.
