Lion Coffee + Records is a one-of-a-kind space in the heart of Hackney; a coffee shop, record store and venue on Lower Clapton Road. Lion opened on the 8th of August 2014 (Previously known as Hayden Wylds) and is owned by Christopher Lloyd Hayden (Florence & The Machine Drummer) Mairead Nash (Owner of Luv Luv Luv & Hate Hate Hate Records) & Lee Rigg (Local music lover and business man). The venue has had artists such as Courtney Love, Gruff Rhys, The Garden, Pale, King Tuff, Splashh & Gabriel Bruce (to name a few) play exclusive gigs in the intimate venue! A passion for music and coffee is at the heart of Lion as well as supporting new talent such as Davey James, Wyldeck, Shannon Wardrop, Daniel Glover and more. The future is bright and there are big plans for art and photography exhibitions, gigs, events and much more that plan to bring the Clapton & Hackney community together
