I was looking forward to seeing Speak & Spell and felt that at the start of the performance it was going to be a good night.
The band and especially the lead singer worked hard from the outset to offer a great performance with good sound quality.
The band played a good selection of Depeche Mode songs, then announced a fifteen to twenty minute interval.
Considering that the venue has a curfew of 22:30 and the interval started at 21:20, I personally felt that this was a very poor decision.
I decided at that point to leave and head home.
For me, as there was no support, I would rather the band came out later and played a full set.
I would see Speak and Spell again as they are very good, but please consider the timing or requirement of any interval.
