House of the Internet presents Hieroglyphic Being

We are very excited to present one of the most important figures in Chicago House music history still touring today, Hieroglyphic Being for a rare London DJ set. What more do we need to say?!

Hieroglyphic Being a.k.a. Jamal Moss is a true Chicago original - coming up through the second wave of Chicago House, being schooled by DJ's like Ron Trent & DJ Rush at the city's Reactor club. Starting off as a dancer, and then finding drum machines, his music is based in science fiction and Afro-Futurism, but always with a nod to the old school Chicago sound. With releases on Ninja Tune & Soul Jazz under his belt, Hieroglyphic Being's back catalogue is deep and expansive.

As a DJ, expect anything from raw House rhythm trax, heartwarming Disco music, 80's New Wave, rousing Gospel House, and everything in-between.

This event is an after party to Girls of the Internet's first show on their upcoming UK tour with their full live band, featuring special guest James Alexander Bright!
