Review of DiscNoTheque 2023 Opening Party
Absolutely loved Q what a stunning little venue. Great that all staff gave a warm welcome from the bouncer to reception to cloakroom to the bar. Well played. Sound and light on. Such a shame that attendance was very low - the promotors didn’t deserve that and the djs were all on point. A great night all the same.

Absolutely shocking event. Firstly, the staff were rude when greeting us at the door and even after seeing our ID we was then asked by another colleague how old we were to then be told we look too young for the event although we were all old enough and proved this with our ID. A few of my friends was searched more thoroughly than others for no valid reason, we found this very rude and inappropriate. The music didn’t fit the description or satisfy us and was very repetitive, it didn’t meet any of our expectations. We had booked tickets for access to the event for the start time, which was displayed as 8:30pm however the actual club didn’t open their doors until 11pm and we were refused entry until then lingering In the bar, which we were then restricted to and wasn’t there for. We was told this was due to them waiting for the numbers to increase before they allowed anyone to enter the club downstairs. They then allowed a few of my friends into the club once open and then again shut the doors a further 10 minutes before they allowed the rest our friendship group in, leaving some of us waiting outside whilst our other friends had been allowed inside. This is unacceptable as everyone had paid full price for the event and expected it to start at the displayed time. The event was poorly organised and displayed false advertisement and the drinks prices were extortionate. Together all these things ruined the night as it was also to celebrate my 25th birthday and none of us were able to enjoy ourselves. Will not be booking again!

Door staff very rude and belittling about our age (24-25) should have advertised as over 30s if they only wanted older people in there. They didn’t open the club until late, kept telling everyone to wait. Drinks expensive, £7 a shot. Very small venue everyone standing around awkwardly, was for a friends birthday which ruined it for her. Wasn’t worth the money and don’t recommend, won’t be coming back.
