St Jame's Church Paddington

St James’s is a grand and spacious building, maintained in very good order, with excellent facilities for meetings, rehearsals, recordings and public performances. The body of the Church enjoys underfloor heating, and seats 400 people quite comfortably. Seating is arranged around a large and well-lit raised sanctuary. This sanctuary serves excellently as a stage and can accommodate an orchestra of up to 80 players. The warm but not too generous acoustic is excellent for choirs and smaller ensembles, and although the Church is large, it is arranged in such a way that makes the relationship between performers and audience quite intimate. St James’s is a very good venue for recordings.
