Review of FUNKY FRIDAY - Shoreditch Hip-Hop, Bashment & Afrobeats Party
We arrived at 12 and the atmosphere was dead. We were told that over 120 tickets were sold and when we arrived there was about 10 people in the bar. The music was good but there was no vibe. After paying £5 for girls and £10 for guys online we turned up and it was £5 on the door instead of £10, it was also meant to stay on till 3 which is what we paid for and they abruptly turned the music down and the lights on at 1.30. We asked for a refund but it was denied. Wouldn’t recommend.

Review of Shoreditch HipHop & RnB Brunch Party
My friends and I were hugely disappointed with the brunch that took place at the joiner on worship on Saturday 16th April 2022.
Upon booking it stated there would be ‘live entertainment’, ‘party and drinking games’, and ‘fun props and giveaways’. With it being bank holiday weekend we thought that sounded like the perfect brunch for us. This was not the case. The venue lacked atmosphere and was pretty much a basic pub with a dj that simply just wished a couple of people happy birthday over the microphone.
During our visit the food was extremely late on coming out, with some people on my table getting their food about 30 minutes before other people, which to me is very unacceptable. Adding to that the next batch that came out had sweet potato fries instead of normal fries which we were not informed about, when we asked why we were simply told ‘we run out of the normal fries’ however the table next to us then had normal fries being brought out to them AFTER we were told they didn’t have any left. A member of my party doesn’t like sweet potato fries so was simply left with just the chicken wings.
Not only that, we had to go up to the bar to get our bottomless drinks. We had to queue each time, at one point we were waiting 10 minutes as there were so many people at the bar. Considering it was only one hour of drinks, having to go to the bar was not ideal. As a group who regularly go to bottomless brunches, we all felt we didnt get much out of it and were left sober.
Overall as I said I’m hugely disappointed and would not recommend this brunch to anyone. When you state in the description all of the fun things that will take place it’s very misleading and definitely not worth what we had paid!!
