THE PUBLIC EYE

Armed to the teeth with invigoration and well-intentioned juvenile malice, The Public Eye come crawling out of the gaps in the post-post-industrial Midland landscape…

With their roots firmly planted in gritty post-punk and capturing their unique surroundings in a block of amber, Joey Greener, Jonah Radford, Cavan Brady and Zack Bednall formed the band in their hometown of Derby, in late 2021.

Lulled to sleep by The Strokes and Bloc Party in their infancy and now following the light lit by Fontaines DC and The Night Cafe in their adolescence, day by day The Public Eye are evolving and developing their own cutthroat sound.

After storming the UK in 2024 with their debut headline tour ‘On the Pursuit of Excellence’ and supporting the likes of The Reytons and The Mercians at their sell out shows, 2025 is set to be a breakthrough year for The Public Eye, with more highly anticipated releases in the pipeline that promise to push their sound even further.

LEAH WILCOX

Midland's own Leah Wilcox is a gritty, romantic glitterball of a songwriter. With an undeniable sense of quirk, her heartfelt lyrics share songs of love and the female experience in her unique indie pop-rock style.

Starting at open mics at 15, Leah began borrowing equipment from school for pub gigs until she could buy her first acoustic guitar. Now, at 20, Leah's hazy and earthy sound is rooted in a British-sounding Countrygaze-Pop landscape, drawing on 70s sounds and Alt-Pop to share her journey, as a musician and through life.

Alongside her sparkling band, expect a set with edge, dashes of choreography, elegance, and energy.
