About

Eliana, Rosa de Trujillo is a vibrant voice in London's Latin American music scene, continuing the tradition of powerful female lead singers in Peruvian Creole and Afro-Peruvian music. Drawing on Afro, indigenous, and European influences, Eliana brings a fresh take to the rich legacy of coastal Peruvian sounds. Performing Afro-Peruvian classics including festejo, zamacueca, landó, marinera, and tondero.

Eliana joins Manos Negras led by multi-percussionist maestro Kieffer Santander.

Manos Negras is a dynamic Afro-Peruvian band founded in 2001, bringing rich rhythms and melodies from Peru to international stages. With performances at festivals like La Línea and Cimarrón, and prestigious venues such as the Royal Festival Hall and Royal Opera House, the band has become a key voice in London’s Latin music scene. They’ve also represented Peru at events like The World Travel Market and the construction of Lego Machu Picchu in Covent Garden.

Manos Negras performs as a trio to a full 7-piece ensemble, Manos Negras delivers an electrifying fusion of acoustic guitar, bass, percussion, and soulful vocals.
