LPT delivering a smooth, jazz guitar driven audio session for those who love jazz, the trip, the taste and feeling dropped in a 21st century style. Original compositions delivered with depth and an expertise far belying their age, deep in the lounge at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

THE LP TRIO (Live) - Band on stage around 9pm, performing 2 live sets

Luke Purbrick is a young jazz guitar player who has had the privilege of studying with the award-winning saxophonist Binker Golding at Tomorrow's Warriors which inspired him to form the LP Trio and Quartet and write his music. Since he was only sixteen years old, he has played in jam sessions in Brighton and London and is showing great potential as part of the UK scene.

2022 saw him record his debut EP 'First Conversations' with his quartet with funding from the organisation New Generation Jazz. Since he released it independently that October, the EP has had significant regional radio play as well as a feature on Worldwide FM with Jay Phelps and Jazz FM with Ruth Fisher.

Luke and his quartet also got to perform last year at Love Supreme and the New Generation Jazz Festival and their performance at the latter was featured in the Jazzwise festival review, described as "Extremely deft in this early stage of their evolution as they find their own voice within the legacy they're learning and ones to watch."

This year Luke and his trio featured as one of the 'up and coming' artists at Jazz In The Round at The Cockpit Theatre, supporting acclaimed guitarist Tom Ollendorff. Since then he hosted a three month residency at Hare and Hounds pub in Brighton where he played standards and his originals as well as hosting many special guests.

Luke and his band have a varied repertoire of original compositions, drawing inspiration from across the jazz tradition as well as more contemporary influences such as Radiohead and The Cinematic Orchestra.
