About

After the success of our Christmas shindig, Music For Freaks is back, locking in a new North London residency for 2025, at the Gipsy Queen in NW5.

We've always sought out intimate spaces to bring people together and constantly looked to sidestep the mainstream, to focus on the love of a proper underground house party. The Gipsy Queen combined with Mr Doris’ expert curation of quality music nights, ensures that we now have the perfect home for this kind of gathering at a friendly, unpretentious local pub, with a small, vibey room, primed for dancing and befriending like-minded folk.

To welcome in the dawn of the light evenings, the next MFF bash is on 28th March and guiding the night’s sonic journey will be Lil’ Mark (Classic, Finger Prince Recordings, MFF), whose 7” vinyl set at our last party was a revelation. He’ll be bringing more deep, twisted rhythms. Expect the unexpected. Also, MFF’s head honcho, Justin Harris - a walking, talking underground house encyclopedia, along with Solo (Acid & Oddities, Finger Prince Recordings), a man with a taste for acid-laced house and wonky oddities and lastly but by no means least, Pale People, bringing a set loaded with bass-heavy, soulful, hypnotics to lock you into the rhythm.

This isn’t just another club night. This is about the music, the people, and the shared experience......So, dust off your dancing shoes, be sure to leave work early on Friday, and get yourself down the pub for some food and great house!
