London Got Soul is bringing together three mesmerising acts to share the stage for a night of jazz, hip hop, and neo soul.

Expect grooves so deep in the pocket you will find some spare change, mesmerising vocal flows that will have you rethinking the English language, and instrumental solos so tasty you might as well skip dinner before hand! 

Malah Palinka

Inspired by funk, jazz, soul, hip-hop, and pop, Malah Palinka are an 8-piece ensemble citing references including Vulfpeck, Hiatus Kaiyote, and Snarky Puppy. The band combine infectious funk grooves, swanky harmonies, and dreamlike lyrics delivered in 3-part harmony. Malah Palinka’s energetic live performances are designed to get people moving and grooving along to their brassy hooks and tight rhythm section. In 2023, Malah Palinka released their first single Baby Who Hurt You? - a funky pop anthem which made its way onto BBC Radio 6 Music’s Introducing Mixtape.

J Casa & Mambo Fresh 

Mambo Fresh hail from Hackney, East London, and specialise in a unique fusion of hip-hop, jazz, and Latin grooves complemented by lyrics from rapper J Casa. The bands sound is a testament to their diverse musical influences and collaborative spirit, and has been cultivated through weekly jam sessions held in the basement of one of the band member’s homes. Through these gatherings, Mambo Fresh continuously refines their sound, developing and reworking versions of J Casa’s repertoire creating a vibrant and engaging musical experience. After a long hiatus from performing they are back and ready to share these new creations with the world.
Lumarie

Lumarie is a newly london-based artist blending elements of neo-soul, jazz, folk and pop. Shifting between playful and humorous to intimate and nostalgic, her candid songwriting explores the joy and turbulence of the human experience. Lumarie’s voice is smooth, smokey and heart-felt, with likenings to artists such as Lianne La Havas and Eloise. Her first independently released single ‘Free’ captivated listeners with jazz-infused, sun-soaked vibes and themes of nature, joy and connection. This track was added to Spotify’s ‘fresh-finds’ playlist and supported by BBC Introducing in Sheffield and nation-wide on BBC radio 6.
