Review of Funky House Brunch
As we had been to a lot of Garage brunches in the past my brother decided for something different he wanted to attend this Funky House Brunch especially as the line up looked really good on the advert. The bottomless rum punch was ok although we felt as if it had been watered down as with the amount we consumed everyone was still coherent when we should have been waved. The fried chicken was nice and we were grateful to be offered more due to the organisers over catering. However the following sequence of events left us feeling a little cheated and ripped off. First I bought 5 of what we thought were Jager shots at £6 each totalling £30 and again this seemed to be watered down as it did not have the usual hit we were accustomed to when doing Jager shots. This was purchased from the staff walking around with a tray and not the bar. When the MC called for all those celebrating a birthday to go on stage, there were not enough cakes to go around and so my brother and another guy missed out. To compensate we were given a round of shots and promised some tickets to the next brunch but to my knowledge no contact details were exchanged or retained by the promoter. The main reason however why I am not rating this event is because of the old promoters trick of putting lots of names on a flyer to draw in a crowd only for none of them to appear. We were looking forward to a set by Supa D, the live PA's by MC Versatile and the KIG family and MC Riskgo which were all advertised on the flyer. What we got instead were intermittent sets by Spaceship Billy and DJ Hosteppa with MC Alizae and KAOS for the whole five hours, and towards the end Skitz from KIG family which is not what we were expecting or paid for. When I questioned one of the organisers if Supa D was still coming I was told he was on a flight but would still be at the brunch to perform. He did not show and at 4pm accepted that he was not going to. No apology or reasoning came from the promoters for the non appearance of the acts which I feel is very poor showing. In terms of the entertainment and games provided this was also lacking in comparison with other brunches as there was nothing, and also feel that the promoters would have had access to the birthday patrons in attendance via Skiddle to call them out by name.

Review of Magic Garden Rave | Space Tribe w/ CASSIMM & ESSEL (Easter Sun)
Place is nothing like it was advertised! It was advertised as dancers from ceiling and neon lights everywhere! Soooo not even close to that!! My friend couldn't even get in as ticket wouldn't scan! Shoddy staff at door with horrible management

Review of Mo:Dem Teaser - London
Mo:dem was great, but the venue security were being overzealous and made my partner take her shoes off and felt inside her underwear. My other friend who attended was stopped on the dance floor and aggressively frisked by security. I saw this repeated multiple times throughout the night to many people and it definitely brought down the vibes of the event.
I would like to reiterate that the other venue staff, the DJs, the amazing stage setup and everything else was great. I've had many good nights at this venue, but may have to rethink attending events at Steel Yard in the future if this continues.
