Review of Rick Ross
Rick Ross only stayed on stage for 30 mins max. He didn't even perform any songs from his new album. There was no build up or atmosphere as resident DJ was playing music totally irrelevant to the vibe that is supposed to be at a modern rap concert. Not worth £40 at all.

Review of 100 Years of Jazz in the UK Festival feat The Puppini Sisters
I'm pretty sure no one will complain because British people are far too polite-- and go to great efforts not to upset anyone
But let me tell you the bands were fantastic and all the musicians were excellent. I know this because I see their professionalism. Unfortunately the sound system mixing was absolutely appalling. Of course everybody enjoyed themselves but quite honestly the sound mixing was disastrous. The evening could have been so much better if this were properly organised. I felt so sorry for the musicians and singers doing their best but let down by sound system. Please make sure this is looked into. Such a shame

Great night out - lots of space to dance, fantastic bands and entertainment. Very eclectic mix of people in the audience. Will hopefully be back!

Review of 100 Years of Jazz in the UK Festival feat The Puppini Sisters
Bands and music in the first part of the evening were good, and played music we could dance to. Puppini Sisters were a bit of a disappointment, they were neither Jazz nor Swing and you couldn't dance to what they played.
Acrobats and Jugglers were good, but the Vintage Fashion was a bit boring, no commentary or explanation of what was worn, and no attempt by the models or organisers to have them with vintage-style hair, makeup or deportment.

Review of 100 Years of Jazz in the UK Festival feat The Puppini Sisters
I felt sorry for the musicians, who were all excellent. The venue is, of course, wonderful, and the front of house staff lovely (but why the over-complicated entry procedure? Worst I've ever come across), but the sound quality.....boy it was REALLY bad. I hadn't been to the venue before, so don't know if it was down to bad accoustics or bad sound mixing. I would never go again for a music event. And the "dance floor"? Ha! Talk about take the p###! If you want to attract dancers you need a decent-sized floor and good sound as well as good music. One out of three isnt good enough.

Review of 100 Years of Jazz in the UK Festival feat The Puppini Sisters
Not sure the Puppini Sisters worked that well in that setting. I liked the second band and the instrumental numbers by the last band.
The sound wasn't the best but there was a fantastic atmosphere at the event; I had a great time.

Review of 100 Years of Jazz in the UK Festival feat The Puppini Sisters
Good bands. Dance floor too small and not great texture for dancing. Drinks boring. Could have had nice c**ktails to represent jazz era. Perhaps some info about jazz history. Maybe a few short talks about jazz. There was nothing much happening in the main area apart from gambling, so atmosphere out there a bit flat. Why charge £2 for a cloak room when you've already paid entrence fee?

Review of 100 Years of Jazz in the UK Festival feat The Puppini Sisters
This was sold as an event aimed at dancers and marketed to the swing/Lindy community, so that's the perspective I'm reviewing from... Most of the songs weren't really swing dance tracks. If you're aiming at dancers, you should get someone that actually dances to help choose the tracklist!
But even more importantly, the sound mixing was off. Waaay too much bass, so the vocalists & brass got swamped. Disappointing.

A note to the organisers inviting dancers - if you know that there are so many dancers coming- make sure the dance floor is bigger and make sure the music is danceable. Big band was ok but from there it was a night club. Highlight of the evening was the acrobats. Went home during Puccini sisters act.

Review of 100 Years of Jazz in the UK Festival feat The Puppini Sisters
Excellent atmosphere, lots of efforts went into it (casino, ladies on stilts, acrobats, cabaret acts), you felt in another world, it was fun, lovely costumes from a lot of people, a special night indeed - thoroughly recommended!
