I wanted to find a special concert to celebrate my partners birthday. I was looking for a concert that would be a musical experience not easily forgotten. I'm not good with searching on-line but I eventually found the Roy Ayers concert at Union Chapel and I immedialdely knew I had found what I was looking for - even if this birthday treat would be a week late. My partner didn't know much about Roy Ayers but he was a quickly converted after the opening song - he said the the bass solo brought tears to this eyes. I still have flashbacks of Roy Ayers blissful smile as he listened intensely to each member of the band. He was totally in the moment but he carried a life time of musical excellence and ecstasy. Roy Ayers music was Black classic sophistication - joyful, street wise and conscious and still going strong.

Roy is a legend however he is not the force he once was liveon stage . He was sad to watch. His band carried him and were great!

What a wonderful evenings entertainment. LCV are so professional and awe inspiring. The variety of music making from the invited guests was wonderful. A mesmerising performance from all.

One of the best LCV concerts I've seen. The choir just get better and better and the guests were at worst interesting and at best superb. Loved it.

I've given everything 5 stars, because I believe that the gig would have been amazing! Unfortunately I couldn't find any evidence of my ticket purchase and therefore sadly didn't go. That's the difference between having a ticket somewhere on your phone and a physical one that you can put on your mantlepiece! Sadly mine was on my phone, but I couldn't locate it anywhere. It's not the first time that I've missed a gig for that reason!

Fantastic and full line up - beautiful, thoughtful clever music and a cup of tea and a caramel from the cafe to accompany it - heaven!
