Review of Christmas Opener - Drag Bingo Bottomless Brunch
I've had time to process my experience at Ballins Christmas drag bingo and will give my honest opinion and review. I am also autistic so might help anyone else who is autistic who wants to visit the venue.
I was organising on behalf of friends and contact between the venue and myself was brilliant while trying to organise.
When I got to the door, the security guard asked me what name the booking was under. As I had told the venue if was for a Christmas party, I wasn't sure if he meant the name of the group it's for or the name of who booked the tickets so I gave him both names. Long story short, he wanted the name of who booked the tickets and once I given him the name, he felt the need to give me a snarky comment which was completely unnecessary and made me feel crap and put me in a bad mood. So much so that I didn't want to be there anymore.
We go in we were given a glass of Prosecco and shown our table, I could see that there was a lot of staff around and the tables were slowly filling up. I was still feeling crappy from the comment and tried to shake it off as I had been looking forward to this drag bingo for a few months. Overall I couldn't fully shake the feeling the whole time I was there and it affected how much of a good time I had, I just wanted time to hurry up so I could go.
The drag queens, Sophia Stardust and Tiana Biscuit were brilliant!! Very entertaining, funny and enthusiastic.
We had pizza given when we sat down but it took a very long time for anymore pizza to come out of the kitchen, I would estimate it took at least an hour before we got the next lot of pizza and towards the end of the brunch, it was a constant stream of pizza which by this time we didn't want.
The bottomless brunch was ok. I did notice that there was a lot of ice in the pitchers used to refill our drinks. I ended up with a cup just full of ice & no actual drink at one point but was able to get rid of the ice in an empty Prosecco glass.
The event was called Drag bingo, there was 1 game of bingo on a 3 lined bingo card. I was expecting a bit more than that. Think the wording of the event needs changing.
Think the venue should look into having tires to the bottomless brunch. If it's 1.5h for £39.50. For 2h bottomless should be like £45/£50 then 3h bottomless should be like £70 or something. Think people would do this.
Might sound harsh to compare to a previous event I went to at Ballin roughly 18 months prior, that event was fantastic, had an amazing time and that was 10/10 for me and I was expecting the same with this one ... sadly not.
Overall, it wasn't as great as I was hoping for, it didn't start off well for me. Luckily the drag queens were good and entertaining.
Now I know what it entails, think some people I know would enjoy this and I'd recommend. I'm hoping it was just a fluke and I would come back and hopefully, best out of 3, would mean that next time I'd have a much better experience.

Review of The Ultimate Musical Bottomless Brunch
Booked to go to a Grease/Dirty Dancing event with a group of 11. Overall we had a great time but felt the show was different to what we was expecting and had been advertised. Wasn't much of a show as the ladies only sang 2 songs at a time and went for a break. The songs weren't Grease or Dirty dancing themed until near the end. Also couldn't hear the singers much but we was sat by the speakers thumping out bass. Was mostly DJ songs .
Unlimited pizza turned out to be 1 pizza between 6 for the first hour, then once the free drinks stopped pizza started arriving , all margarita . So food was a bit of a shame ?"
Drinks kept coming throughout the unlimited time and the hosts and staff were all friendly and helpful.
Would come again but maybe eat first and check schedule for any changes to the show. 😊

Review of The Ultimate Musical Bottomless Brunch
The ultimate musical brunch... or so we thought. It was awful. The very few vocal performances were too quiet to hear above the djs stupid bass. The music in between the 20-40 minute breaks was not relevant to musicals, when I spoke to a manager, he told me it wasn't advertised as musical theatre, it was musical movies... he had no answers for why the music being played was not relevant to either category. I spoke to several other parties who felt exactly the same.
The bar staff however, were friendly, smiley, welcoming and kept glasses filled. Just a shame about the poor attempt at the theme of the day.

Review of Disney Party - Sunday Family Funday
First time of taking my 2 year old daughter to an event like this and it was amazing. She is a rather shy girl and was initially reluctant to step on dance floor. Something Princess Elsa noticed and took the time to greet her and reassure her enough that she joined in. Throughout the event Princess Elsa and Anna included her by holding her hand. This made her day and she was very upset to say goodbye. Safe to say we will be rebooking.

Review of Mamma Mia The Musical Bottomless Brunch
Good venue and atmosphere but entertainment troop were of a poor standard in all honesty and barely realised they were there. Definitely not what I was expecting. Staff friendly and fairly quick at refilling for the bottomless drinks.

Review of Buff Vikings Bottomless Brunch
Absolutely brilliant value for money. The pizzas were great, endless supply of drinks… staff continued to top up glasses the whole time and were very polite and helpful. The buff Vikings were great at entertaining and the games were great too. Lots of laughter and fun. Just right for a hen party! Great music too! Would definitely return!

Review of BALLIN' Nightclub - CARNEVIL III & Freakshow Halloween Special
NOT AS ADVERTISED. Barely anything Halloween related. The music was boring and did not fit a spooky themed 'Fright Night'. They had a boxing match playing on the big screen the whole time which is why half the people were there and it felt like a bog standard sports bar. The event was named: 'CARNEVIL III & Freakshow Halloween Special'??? There was nothing special about it. Ballin advertised spooky actors and entertainment throughout the night and one dancer came out for one song over the course of a 5 hour time slot. At one point, my friend was asked by a male customer what she had under her skirt. And the bar kept running out of glasses. Not great.

Review of Barbie Bottomless Brunch
The pizza was very slow to be served and small amounts with no choice of topping. The drinks were limited in choice but very free flowing. The microphone was too loud and distorted and we couldn't understand what was being said. This limited our envolvement in the audience participation part.
