Mutations returns for a final outing of 2024 on the evening of 29 November, leaving our current home Overdraught to experiment in pastures new in the form of the city centre space Aatma.
We bring Sarin over from Berlin to Manchester to DJ for the first time in 6 years since playing alongside Ancient Methods at Meat Free back in 2018.
Originally hailing from Canada, he is one of the most radical acts in contemporary EBM and industrial techno, with outstanding releases on renowned international labels such as BITE, Aufnahne + Weidergabe and X-IMG. His current collaborative projects include Human Performance Lab, Devikorps and General Dynamics (who we were blown away by earlier this year at Grauzone Festival). Destructive percussion and synths form the basis of his mind-altering sound.
We will also have a peak time live EBM performance from Virun. After being so impressed by their performance at Mutations Episode 2 - we wanted to invite them back to hear the fantastic new material they’ve been putting to test through their multitude of machines.
Finally, we are delighted to have Talking Drums on board. In their own words “a loose crew of disco wierdos” Their free-flowing, far reaching and fun approach to playing records has seen them pack dance floors across the UK and Europe. Their releases draw inspiration from the weirder ends of neo-noir dark disco sounds making them the perfect low slung party starters.
As always support comes from your Mutations residents – Chernobyl Steve and Deadeyezopened.
See you under the neon!
