Brilliant family fun. Great atmosphere great music and a good sound level for little ones.
A few other things for them to enjoy to keep them busy as well. We loved the giant robot and the props on the dance floor always get a good wave around. Our little one used the plasticine table for ages. It was a little bit cramped upstairs near the lego but very very minor criticism. Looking forward to the next one..

Brilliant afternoon spent listening to quality music, at a good venue, with the kids entertained too! Lots of extra activities for the little ones and a performer too, we all loved it and will definitely be back

I love the Playhouse project. It’s a great place to go with the kids on a Saturday afternoon. The adults love the range of legendary dj’s and the kids enjoy the range of crafts/activities. It’s very cute to see kids dancing with their parents adorned in glow sticks, paints and glitter. The choice of venue was not great on this occasion but the event is still evolving and has surely taken this into account. I went to the event last month at the Refuge which was a perfect venue. Spacious, gorgeous and a fantastic sound system that sounded pukker but didn’t blow the kids ears off. I see a great future for the Playhouse project and recommend a visit next month when it’s back at the Refuge 💥

Too hot, too loud and just aimed at adults who want to get drunk with their kids in tow. Newborn babies wearing ear defenders suggests it's not the right environment for babies so they shouldn't be allowed in. Duty of care was not exercised. We left at 2.30, the kids hated it, it was carnage in every sense but I'm sure the ageing ravers loved it, however it is not an event for children. A colouring in table and a plasticine table on a dark dance floor is not entertaining in the slightest. The screen printing was literally pull this down, the box was placed for you and the paint was squirted in advance so it was just pull this down. The advert said let's educate the kids about vinyl and casettes...absolute nonsense, we won't be back!

Far too busy , far too loud for kids . And really nothing for them to do apart from very cramped Lego. For 10 pound each I was not very impressed and def wouldn’t recommend. Sorry

Review of Held by Trees
Only their 5th live gig ever apparently - you would have never believed it!
Truly joyous instrumental music played by very accomplished musicians.
I already had their debut album on record but had to buy the cd version to listen to in the car on the drive up to Manchester from home in Derby (and back).
Highly recommended - will definitely go to see them again.
Regarding the venue: I love the Band on the Wall - been several times and always look forward to the next visit.
Rather bizarrely, my ticket didn’t scan on entry. Looks like the venue’s system didn’t know about any Skiddle purchases. Luckily, the app and barcode was visually accepted …
