Review of Teletech Festival 2023
It felt as though the venue was chosen last minute and things were just chucked in. There was no real stage design or love put into the building which contributes to creating a good environment. The venue wasnât accessible even those who are able bodied complained and commented on the lack of comfortable seating, chill out space and most importantly the lack of accessible water. Why could you only get water inside, at one station? So many people sat on cold concrete floors, it lacked care. I know there was hopes of good weather but the week leading up to the day there shouldâve been reflection and some alternative plan to create a great environment inside because of the s**tty weather. £5 for cheap panchos? It felt like this event was purely extraction giving little to nothing to sustain you for the 15+ hours you are meant to last. As we were leaving groups also did the same, making comments very similar to the ones listed above. For a predominantly while line up, the only dj of colour who was absolutely amazing to 1. Be playing outside in the s**tties corner with rocks and the worst mud 2. So early is just not it. The founders of house and techno are all black, gay or both. That was not reflected in your line up as a result the demographic of attendees were similar. Thankfully I mad some great connections to make the best out of a not so great situation. But I urge you moving forward, ask yourself if you didnât have the comfort of a car dropping you and and picking you up or a back stage to sit and recuperate with water and snacks what would your experience be ? Take lessons from events like belter, galasto and even bangface. Where from the moment you step foot youâre in an world of experience. Where you can tell the took time to think about to make it enjoyable, fun and give back. There were people who travelled from all over; France even America. Youâve got something good but thereâs so much room for improvement. Please take this on and move from strength to strength.

The event was good the only downside was the weather as it was raining all day & I mostly just stayed inside the boiler room set & also I was waiting in the queue for ages to get into the boiler room set during the night
