The DJs need to create their playlists and check with others that tunes are not duplicated every single set, the venue is perfect...just the Sets need looking into to provide a perfect night.

Review of Stu Allan festival 2024

Ok, first time at Bowlers.

Pros:

1. The venue itself is amazing, perfect for raves. 

2. Music. Some great artists to cater to many tastes throughout all 3 arenas. 

3. atmosphere, really friendly. 

4. lighting, lasers, spot on

5. drink prices, very reasonable. 

Cons: 

1. The sound system in the main arena and room 3 was terrible at times. distorted, phase cancellation, MCs far too loud. The speakers had been driven too hard. You need another stack so you can lower the gain and get control over the mix. The bass was far too prominent; it cancelled out most of the details of the tunes and the vocalists at times. The hardcore arena sound system was clear as a bell. Whoever set that up needs to set up all the rooms. 

2. Water and drinks spilt on the floor; it made dancing very dangerous at times. This should be mopped up regularly. 

3. It starts far too early. 3 pm is ridiculous. Nobody goes at that time, and the DJs are basically wasting their time. 6 or 7 pm would be better. 

4. Better seating/chill-out areas would be good. benches are not suitable. 

5. Some of the acts weren't 'live.' Altern 8 didn't play live; it was Mark Archer doing a DJ set. I expected the masks and a full live PA. false advertising.

This event for the previous 2 years has been good however this year the music & atmosphere was terrible

Absolutely brilliant, sound quality was amazing!

Had the best night ever here with my sister.  Felt like a proper old school rave. I have nothing bad to say other than than I have blisters on my feet because we did not stop dancing all night. Fantastic atmosphere, friendly people. It definitely took us back to being teenagers. Can't wait for the next one!
