Doug Mutai has been described as a clever, electrifying and talented performer, who brings a completely new voice into the comedy eco-system. He has the ability to consistently deliver a uniquely hilarious comedy experience with a mix of storytelling and a bit of an absurdist over-analysis of the mundane to create hilarity, phew!
Doug’s comedy has been featured in various global platform including but not limited to, BBC world Service’s Art Hour On Tour, Showmax’s comedy Riot and Roast House, CBC’s Halifax Comedy Festival and Winnipeg Comedy Festival amongst others. He is also a pioneering writer on NTV’s Too Much Information With Ty Ngachira.
He is also the founder of Kenya’s Standup Collective, a platform for incubating and showcasing standup comedians in Kenya as well as the Nairobi International Comedy Festival.
