Music was good, venue was rubbish. Had to queue for an hour and a half and missed the first 30 minutes of Hybrid Minds. Didn’t get into the club until 1:30, despite arriving at 11.

A ticket holder, I queued outside Manchester Academy from 11.50 pm till 1.30 am by which time Hybrid Minds were already on stage. I travelled up to Manchester from London for this gig and I'm totally brassed off. What I heard and the people I met were great, but the queue management - well there wasn't any and it got quite nasty at one or two points.

Brilliant night

Music and atmosphere were amazing. However having to wait in a queue for an hour and a half was ridiculous. Thought it might be for the thorough searches, but the security couldn't find drugs if they were even stapled to their own heads.

With WAH not stating a time for last entry, we arrived at 11 when the event started thinking we would have loads of time before seeing Hybrid Minds. By 1:20am we were still in the queue outside the venue waiting to get in. Not only was there no organisation or people manning the queue, it seemed there was no one even working to let people in. I understand security for events like these need to be thorough but they ignored the fact that people were getting hurt and trampled on as people became irritable and started pushing in the queue. If we didn’t want to see hybrid minds so much, despite missing the first 40 minutes of their set, we would have left. Probably won’t come back to the academy if they don’t sort out their organisation and staff.

Once inside it was great but took two hours to get which was appalling. I haven’t queued for something like this for that amount of time. Don’t think I’d come again if that’s how it is to get in

Utter rubbish. We didn’t get to see Hybrid minds. After almost an hour of queuing in the freezing cold we were still some 45 mins to an hour away from the venue entrance.

We gave up and left as we were just too cold. We paid for tickets for this event so why the huge queue. Apparently the venue likes to delay opening as the mile long queue is good PR.

Worst organised event I’ve ever (not) been too.

Got there early, had to queue for 1.5 hours, missed most of Hybrid Minds, told it was at Academy 3 but was at Academy 2.
