It was quite simply a totally bizarre night. The support acts were deary, guitar bands, which did not match up with Todd Terje. The only explanation would be if the only way to book Terje was if they booked his mate's bands too. They made you come by 8.30, but Terje didn't play until 11pm (with the event finishing at 12am), which means you were stuck in there watching people you had no interest in. Freeze left snarky comments on social media posts saying that it had been explained that Terje would only play for an hour, but I'm not sure where they had explained it, unless it was in some sort of microscopic fine print. In all, I paid £27.50 to watch a man play for an hour. I don't know how Freeze can honestly be proud of themselves for producing this night. I have attended one of their events at St Luke's church in Liverpool, and that was a really fun event, so I was very surprised at how poor this Manchester event was. They need to learn how to respond to criticism on social media too, as their bad attitude made me not want to support any future events they attempt to host in Manchester.

Great venue, first dj - great, the 2 bands were garbage and a very strange choice musically. Final DJ ok but certainly not what I would expect warming up for Todd Terje. Feel like I wasted my time. Gig advertised 7-midnight, have to be in by 8.30 and he only comes on at 1105. Thought the headline act might do a longer set than the warm ups. Waste of time and money.

The venue was amazing but we were expecting the Todd Terje live show and instead got a dj set, which was ok but we wouldn't usually pay £30 for the priveledge. Also didnt feel like the choice of live bands matched the event in style of music

Terrible. Terje played for one hour only (even though they made you arrive 3 hours earlier to make more drinks receipts on the bar) and he wasn't live as advertised. The support acts were earbleed and had no relation to the main act. I walked out.

When Todd Terje was billed as ´live´ I expected a little more than a 1 hour dj set...!!? Especially with a 25 quid price tag attached.
Putting on such an event in the Cathedral is a nice idea but the facilities were inadequate for the number of people there. It would have been nice to see parts of the cathedral lit up a little more creatively rather than the generic disco lights which had been installed. Slightly lacking in atmosphere in a venue which could have been truly special. Hopefully the organisers can take some of the feedback on board for future events. I won´t say I had a bad night as was surrounded by some great people but i´ll be honest I left feeling dissapointed & like a few costs had been cut here when you compare the price tag to similar events.

Very disappointed. There was no mention of 2 very poor 'indie' type bands on the bill (2 hours) and when Todd Terje eventually came on he was only on for one hour!

Not what was advertised or what anyone was expecting. Badly curated with only an hour at the end for Todd Terje. Thankfully ive seen him do his album live before. He gave us 2 hours in MOS for a lot less. I hope Freeze learn from this and move on. Venue was lovely though.

Having just paid £30 for a two day ticket to The Garden Party in Leeds to see Todd play for an hour (plus dozens of other artists) £25 for last night now seems steep. Billed as 'live' I took that to be a live band, disappointed it wasn't but you can't really ever be disappointed with TT can you?! Would have liked the warm up bands to be in the same genre, sadly not & the whole vibe lifted when the final DJ before Todd played. Definitely not enough toilets & would have liked to have seen a bit more respect to the building with regard to litter. Happy but overall disappointing

When is a live gig not a live gig?? When it's a DJ set I was expecting a live set with his band not a DJ set with more buttons to push! The show to me was advertised in a way that it would be a live gig show not a dj set I assumed this to be the case when factoring in the ticket price and other bands being on the bill as well.
The cathedral is an amazing venue shame it wasn't used as part of the production a real missed opportunity to use the space but instead it was bang in some disco lights and strobes and crank up to 10.
And the facilities were wholly inadequate for a Friday night crowd massive loo queues led to caught short punters thinking its alright to piss up the outside walls I'm no religious nutter but a tad more respect should be shown.The music was good but for me didn't work was expecting more for the price then just some banging rave.
