Review of Jam Night with Spanky McCurdy and Friends
We arrived just after 7.30pm and the doors weren't open. We sat on the stools by the high tables near the sofa...member of staff said it was OK for us to sit there as they weren't reserved. However, part way through the night we were told to move because the tables were reserved. They were Not reserved when we arrived!!! Everything else was good apart from what I mentioned.

Review of Manchester Music Industry Networking Events
Great night for anyone involved in the music biz to network, just kick back and watch a few bands with a drink, or both. Great place to meet bands, producers, promoters, event organisers, PA & lighting people, photographers etc.

Review of Manchester Music Industry Networking Events
A great event for networking and just generally chatting to other creative types, promoters and so on. Great variety of music on show and just an all round good night. Hope to see the event continue to grow.

Hate to say it, but this turned out to be a damp squib.
Last year this party was fantastic, so I had high hopes for this one. Especially given how good the band is that was playing. I was quite disappointed on the night though.
The previous year (and most years before that I hear) was a pretty exclusive thing with limited tickets, table service, canapés, ****tail on arrival and fizzy wine at midnight.
This year however there was just a glass of "fizz" on arrival and a menu left optimistically on the table in case you wanted to buy a pizza, so it was really just like any other Friday night - no bad thing normally, but not something you'd normally pay £25 a ticket for. Actually, it wasn't quite like any other Friday night. They crammed the place to the rafters with standing tickets until it was nearly impossible to move. Paying my tab (I hadn't realised it would get that crowded) took just over 40 minutes. I understand that they want to make money like any other bar, but when I was buying the tickets, it would have been nice if they could have quickly mentioned that you get next to nothing for your £25 and a trip to the loo would be a 20 minute round trip requiring good, solid elbows and plenty of ambition.
The band were brilliant and played for 4 hours which saved the night from being a complete let-down, but I still wouldn't recommend NYE there again. It's a shame, because on any other night it's always a great venue.

Well worth the money
On the whole this was a wonderful entertaining event. 3 differant girls doing two acts each with a male comedy singer and an adult puppet show in between. Lots of variety and will definatley go again as the standard was very high. The only down side was that the tickets said 7.30 and it didn't start until 9 but you have to get there early if you want to get a seat. excellant night.
