Review of M&P's Big Band Brunch
A cute tiny gem of a place with great gigs, friendly staff, value for money drinks and friendly punters. Rare in NQ filled with venues with thumping music that gives you headaches and loud drunken customers! If you want a "civilised" night out, this is definitely the place to be ?'?🏼!

We sat at the back, the microphone for the compare was not loud enough so we could not hear any of the talking, the sound of the music was spot on. A great inclusive afternoon, we had a lovely time , thank you

Review of M&P's Big Band Brunch
Great afternoon enjoyed by all ages. The band are very professional and hugely talented. The conductor/ guitarist introduced each song and gave us some information about each tune but also had a great sense of humour and interaction with the audience. They played two sets of 45 mins, a mixtute of jazz, swing, and some popular tv songs, excellent choice, could not help but dance a little in your seat and tap your feet to the beat!! There is a great chose of pizzas, we ordered two breakfast pizzas, fast service and fresh, very tasty. It is also the perfect time for families, not to late. Get there early to get a good view and seat. We will be returning!! Thank you and keep up the fantastic work 👍💯🍕

Review of M&P's Big Band Brunch
Despite our initial expectations (which we quickly realised were unrealistic) we really enjoyed this event. Those initial expectations were that, if we bought a ticket, we'd have a table (wrong - first come first served - of course!) and that the fact that we pre-ordered our pizzas meant that they would come quickly (wrong again - we were pre-ordering to allow M&P to buy in the right amount of ingredients - they have a small kitchen and, as pizzas are cooked to order, it takes time). We arrived an hour after doors opened and it was already packed so we claimed a few inches of the bar and perched there for a while. I managed to find someone who kindly let me hang my coat on the back of his chair whilst my husband and son chose not to be so cheeky and uncomfortably wore theirs. By the time the band struck up though we'd settled in to how it was going to be and allowed ourselves to be delightfully distracted by their melodic and powerful sound. Another delight was observing how much the children enjoyed it too. By the intermission tables became free and an hour after we'd arrived we were able to sit down and enjoy our delicious pizzas in comfort (we'd been wondering until then how on earth we were going to manage them!) Thank you to all the friendly staff at M&P's that make it such a pleasure. We are so looking forward to the next Big Band Brunch and will be sure to get their early! Oh and just one small thing that would make a big difference - hooks under the bar for coats!
