FAC51 The Haçienda presents
HAÇIENDA THREADS - Book Launch
Wednesday October 9th - New Century Hall, Manchester
THE BOOK
The music. The fashion. The nights. The people. The love. These are the threads that came together to make the Haçienda great!
Celebrate the club that changed everything in this official book, told through evocative photographs and eye-witness accounts of the people who were there -from the musicians, DJs and fashion designers, to performers, clubbers and staff.
Sincethe openingnight on 21st May 1982 until itclosed its doors in 1997, the Haçienda was the last word in music, fashion and world-beating club culture. A cathedral of the alternative, it played a formative part in the careers of many artists, and was a focal point of the dance music and acid house scenes. Its spirit lives on in the shape of globally loved Haçienda events, which continue to bring joy to veteran and new clubbers alike.
With contributions from Peter Hook, John Cooper Clarke, Bez, Noel Gallagher, Rowetta, Mani, Irvine Welsh,Andrew O'Hagan, Mike Pickering, Todd Terry andRoger Sanchez - as well as Haçienda staff,club-goers and many more.
