Review of Yo La Tengo
well, i was expecting more of the common popular songs, instead they seemed to play a completely different genre. i think when you’ve payed to see something and you expect a certain sort of music it’s disappointing to hear what i heard.

Review of Moovin In w/ Krafty Kuts, Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs & more
The Moovin family is something special. The crowd has a very welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is quick with a smile, a hug, and a kind word. The acts are always top notch. Moovin is Manchester's greatest gift to people who love to dance.

The venue was ideal. it was well lit, ventilated and beautifully lit. I appreciated the amount of hard working staff there. Also the toilets were well cleaned

Great venue, nice dance floor, no queues at the bars & nice security staff who gave the impression of being there for your safety, not just to be oppressive - they were even handing out water on the dance floor. Overall, a great experience & I'll be back

Review of JBM Presents: Jeff Mills + Cleric
Incredible nighr- one of the best. Loved all of it. Security was more intense than any airport i've ever been to ad i've travelled a lot - that felt a bit much and slowed the queue down a lot. That was the only part that felt a bit much.

Review of JBM Presents: Jeff Mills + Cleric
New Century Hall is a fine venue but for a techno oriented event it isn't. On arrival myself and partner went to the kitchen and bar, we had drinks and food which were excellent. We left there and went round to the gig entrance, we were coralled through what I would call extreme security checks- much more over the top than the airport security. I felt that the venue security obviously hadn't any idea of the demographic of the attendees - possibly most of us over 40 years old. We were there for the music and not violence . The first two djs were not my cup of tea at all but Jeff Mills played a blinding live set so the few hours penance was worth it in the end.
I don't think I would attend another dance/techno event there but hoping the tickets for ACR we have bought will make us like the venue a bit better than last night?
