Review of Bobby Long
A rare treat. Feel like I've been waiting a long (no pun intended) time for Bobby to come to England and particularly up north to perform. I would like to say it was worth the wait, but I think that undersells the fact that I would happily have seen him play in the years before too. An incredible artist. It was a real pleasure to see him in such an intimate gig. I will definitely be going to see Bobby again, I just hope next time he doesn't leave it so....erm....far-off.

Review of The Soft Moon
a small, intimate but unforgettable gig full of energy. Could not be still and danced from start to end. If I didn't have to go to work the next morning, I'd offered them whiskey shots and carried on for another 3 hours. The second support act left me a bit baffled as the kind of music played would have been more appropriate to end a show rather than as a warm up for a band like The Soft Moon.

Ibeyi at Night and Day Cafe.
Probably one of the best gigs I have been to - and I have been to hundreds! Not only are the sisters immensely talented, but they obviously enjoyed every minute of the performance themselves. As a friend said - next time they wont be as good, because they will be in a large venue and we will loose the intimecy that they generated with the audience.
