Parklife 2010
Some great music acts, but still could have had some of the bigger names that Warehouse Project brought. The venue was very good and spaced out and it was extremely friendly. Had to queue for around 20 minutes to get in but I thought that was very reasonable and well managed by security there. Very professional festival and I will definately attend again next year. Best sound system was the main stage but some of the tents could have had better systems in them often with people chanting for the music to be turned up.

Platt fields
Good venue with free parking, all round music was good, but quality from the main speakers slightly dodgy. Bad Lieutenant were brill playing many New order including Electronic and Joy Division.
Ian Brown was on form and looking well, just an hour though and the park shut at 11pm.
Enjoyable

Ian Brown et al
Loved the Stone Roses tunes! Shame The Whip played so early to a smallish crowd...they were pretty awesome too. Was looking forward to seeing Scratch Perverts who didn't show. A word about why wouldn't have gone amiss but hey ho.

Ian Brown's gig
Ian Brown:not a good performance at all . the stage was overcrowd with children and family/ friends? WTF?
not enough bars, one bacon butty costs 4 quid and we couldnt bring our own food. first and last time I spend my money to see ian live I am afraid. Venue awesome .

great gig. the stoner was awesome.
but shame there wasn't seating, it may have prevented overcrowding too?
i was pissed that we couldn't bring drinks or food through, but could buy it inside at slightly inflated prices.

mad ferret
goodness, what a lot of police. expensive but fun one day festival. headliners were great and saw some really good stuff at the mind on fire stage. there was a wedding going on next door which meant a shutdown for an hour, but then one band did an acoustic set in the middle of the field which was brilliant :)

bondclone's Review of Mad Ferret Festival at Platt Fields Park
Not worth the £55 price tag, if you grabbed one of the earlybird tickets the you'd have been in for a treat!
The atnosphere was friendly but quite flat, seemed like a lot of people were lost! Especially in the dance tent, the 'all-saints brothers' in matching skinny jeans/boots and thin scarfs & shades stood flexing their arms and getting angry if someone danced into them (they weren't moving) were my personal favourites!
