Review of Weedpecker + Supports
This is from a seasoned gig goer aged 67.
The bands were 'there' and worked really hard for us.
W**dpecker have been on my bucket list for a while now so big tick.
The welcome at the door was very friendly with a few laughs and handshakes - it's not everywhere this happens. The bar staff were also friendly and the prices were fair and the selection was pretty darn good.
All that said the sound quality could have been much, much better. The sound engineer in the cubicle (I stood behind, I'm an electronics geek) was IMO too hands off - arms folded !?? Sound engineering is as dynamic as the music and simply running stage mikes through the PA where the amp(s) are almost continuously being run into the red and into clipping didn't do the bands justice and created far too often a wall of mush. This was a shame really as W**dpecker's music has tons of subtlety in and around the guitar interchanges and the guitar to keyboard relationships - a lot of this was lost. Please don't get me wrong it was a great night out, enjoyed the atmosphere, the door staff and the bar staff are a credit to your venue, but.........

Review of Traitrs
I went to see Promenade Cinema who were main support and they were excellent on the night . Main act Traitors are much better live than on record but not my thing, still lots of energy and they put on a decent show.
Loved the venue, great atmosphere, staff were great, would go back in a heartbeat.
