Sermons
We invite you to gather for a sacred evening where artists finds words for the intangible and sounds for the unspoken. Come seek refuge from cold and find solace and safety in a holy transference of energy. Find light amongst the dark. Be cleansed by the etherial, celestial sounds from some of Manchester's most exciting word-smiths and noise makers.
Glaswegian born performance artist Kate Ireland brings you her heady mix of spoken word and electronic sounds. Travelling from romance to the mundane, the personal and the political. She takes you from the softness of her interior world into the gritty landscape of overstimulation and hyper-individualism.
Manchester based quintet Hedgehog teeter on the boundary between eloquent portrayals of humane and natural beauty, and the collapse of language in favour of pure visceral expression. A soundtrack to laughter, love, heartbreak and hunger of personhood.
Sophia Harari is a poet, performer and sound designer telling stories in all the ways accessible to them.Their Sermons performance will use DJing as a vehicle for spoken word. Sophia will be debuting a new performance style, developed alongside the words they have written.
