No More Reggae!!

We was just getting into it in the main room when the Reggae came on. Thought it was a joke at first but it went on and on and got worse. I spoke to two or three people who was like what the **** is this? We quickly made our way upstairs to Spektrum which was class and came back down for Carl Cox whom yet again was on another level! The place was like a sauna but despite the Reggae, we still had a class night and met some amazing people!! Can't wait to come back...Georgia who spent most of her night in the smoking area was an absolute legend!!

Hi there Carl like always was amazing, my first time @ Sankeys but to be honest with all the best party's that they do there could be must better venue, the lack of air condition, toilets :(, i have a close up from the stage and i don't know ...very poor... upstairs... but 5* night anyway...

Carl Cox as always did not disappoint!!!! he is just amazing, definately the best DJ in the whole world..:-)

Legends on form

Having seen 2manydj's a few times before I know it's a right of passage for any dance fan to experience. The set was exactly what you'd expect from the brothers, filled with key popular electro tracks and remixes that stick in your head for months after. The variety in genre, style and decade is one of the best things about these guys. As for Sankeys, it was one of the busiest times I've seen it and it wasn't easy to 'do your thing' until later in the set. The price of water there always seems ridiculous, but I guess you've got to make money in a place like that somehow!

Carl Cox tore the roof off! Definitely the highlight of the night. All round, another wicked night in Sankeys. If I was to complain about anything it would be the lack of air conditioning! It was hot hot hot in there :-)

Belgians do it better

It had been a while since I had a) been to Sankeys and b) seen 2manydjs. When I first went to Sankeys I remember being blown away by cutting edge interior and the general vibe within the venue, but when I returned last night I felt like something had changed, the lights and interior no longer seemed modern but perhaps thats due to travelling to more venues as I've gotten older. The acts however were truly on form, as I arrived late I missed the majority of homoelectric resident dj WillTramp! but from what I did see he was on form, and continued to keep the dance floor buzzing after 2manydjs set. Come half past 1 everyone was crammed downstairs for what seemed like a relatively intimate gig with one of the worlds largest DJ acts. The 2 hour setlist had a mix of expected bastard pop and re works of electro classics, for me a rework of Metronomy's the bay stands out, but was quite gutted they didn't play recent reworks of Arcade Fire (which would've seemed difficult to place in last nights set mind.) Also as it was a dj set it was good to see 2manydjs without all of the visuals with the focus just being on the music it was clear how they have earned residency in top 10 dj lists.

Sardines!

Just a small suggestion..maybe next time they have a high demand gig such as this one, perhaps they could also have the same music upstairs too (like they did when Danny Tenagliua played) so people don't have to cram together like sardines! Top gig all the same and the guys upstairs did a cracking job!

Unreal music, love Sankeys!!

Just awesome!!!!! I just spent the whole night on the dancefloor, loving the atmosphere and the music. I went with 13 of my friends for a birthday and we had a booth and bottle service, so as we were pouring our own drinks we were pretty wasted, pretty quickly. Definately worth the money. Can't wait for my next night at Sankeys :) Just 1 issue, i found a guy with his hand in my bag, luckily nothing was taken and this isn't anything to do with Sankeys, you just always have to be aware that not everybody is just out for a good night.

Federation needs new venue

Great time but no show or weirdness like the old Federations. Need it at a better place than sankeys !

Tribal Sessions @ Sankeys 7/4/12

Traveled in with a group from South Carolina in the states....we had an amazing night. Music was pumpin, venue was great, and people were lovely. If I ever come back to Manchester (fingers crossed) Sankey's will for sure be on the agenda. Thanks for a night I will never forget!!!!
