RAW! #6 - Church Party, Desired Effect & Grief School

We can’t believe our 6th RAW! show has come round already. Huge thanks to everyone who has come down to support so far. This next line-up is one full of that gritty post- punk energy we know you all love.

Headlining we have the enigmatic Church Party, they have created a sound which mixes post-punk, sixties pop and grunge. Manchester’s gritty atmosphere is reflected in their ability to emotionally touch on themes such as mental health, heartbreak and recovery. Standout tracks such as “Back In the Room” merge raw emotion, funk-infused basslines and dreamlike choruses together to create a distinctive sonic sound.

Emerging from the bowels of Burnage. Grief Sch%l is known for his unpredictable stage performance and wide array of noise. Grief’s distinctive sound blends elements of punk, grime and dark electronica characterized by earworm choruses blending chaotic stage energy with wry humour. Be prepared to witness a raw, visceral and engaging performance.

Originating from Sheffield, emerging band Desired Effect have quickly become ones to watch in the music scene. Their unique sound and dynamic performances have already started to make waves. We are beyond excited to welcome them to our basement, where they will be making their highly anticipated debut with RAW!
