The house that Chicago built
A night of classic house - featuring music from the Chicago producers that created the ripple that now spans the globe. Iconic tracks that define the genre that we all know and love.
Think of tracks by Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson and Steve "Silk" Hurley to name but a few.
In 1979 there was the infamous Disco Demolition at Chicagos Comiskey park - And the music of the dance floors was pushed underground. House music was born as a result or producers finding a new sound made on drum machines. New nightclubs emerged playing music that was pressed onto vinyl locally.
DJ's found a new sound that was packing out dance floors in basements across the America.
The movement soon gained momentum and before long the House music had spread across the USA over the pond and into Europe and the rest is history.
Come and join us for a night of classic house grooves.
