Taphouse Jazz w/ Liviu Gheorghe, Doreen Edwards + Andy Patterson
Music Genres
Jazz
Taphouse Jazz is our monthly Sunday jazz session. It's free entry (donations on the door) with some of the best musicians playing in Manchester right now, and with a 2 for £12 offer on cocktails!
Doreen Edwards, former lead singer of Manchester’s soul-pop band Distant Cousins, joins forces with Liviu Gheorghe, the pianist known for his work in Elf Traps and as a past collaborator with Matthew Halsall.
They’re joined by Andy Patterson, bassist from NONUNONU. This performance will feature their unique take on the timeless repertoire of Billie Holiday.
Together, they blend Edwards' soulful vocals, Gheorghe’s atmospheric piano, and Patterson’s dynamic bass lines, bringing a fresh, deeply expressive sound to Holiday's iconic tunes.
