Review of Carrie Martin
The Carrie Martin evening on June 6th was an outstanding event. It was held in a fine city centre venue, The Old Monkey. Carrie's music is fabulous; her beautiful vocals and expert playing of her different guitars provided a great night's entertainment. Mainly her own work with three (four?) covers (Joni Mitchell, Cyndy Lauper ), songs flowed from start to finish, linked by little stories related in her engaging East Yorkshire accent. A totally satisfying evening.

Review of Trapdoor Comedy presents Daliso Chaponda
Absolutely fantastic night. All the acts had their own distinct style and each complemented the last, so there was something for everyone. Crowd work from the compere was great as well. Ticket prices are some of the best I've seen, you get a lot of comedy for your ticket. It's a full night out! Definitely recommend it!

Review of Celebration! The Magic Of Nigel McGuinness.
As a life long wrestling fan and an aspiring magician myself, this show promised to be the perfect combination of two huge parts of my life and boy it didn't disappoint! The way in which Nigel effortlessly and emotionally combines the two was so charming and clever. The stories were excellently interlaced with mentalism effects which were astounding by themselves, incredible when combined with childhood memories of wrestling stories, memorabilia and characters. It was a lovely balance of autobiographical tales with audience participation and an ending which had everyone scratching their heads in sheer disbelief.
Considering this was only his second live performance in this setting, Nigel will only get better and better and better... Don't wait... The next time you have an opportunity to see him in this setting - don't hesitate. Book the tickets and thank me later!

Review of Celebration! The Magic Of Nigel McGuinness.
Nigel McGuinness' stories of his wrestling career, combined with magic was something new and very entertaining (and quite moving in parts). The magic performed was fooling, with good audience management and interaction.
The venue was a nice pub, unfortunately the two staff members we spoke to were surly, and pretty unhelpful, they didn't appear to want to be there. Other than that, excellent.
Review of Celebration! The Magic Of Nigel McGuinness.
Great event. Started on time, and finished comfortably in time to help with travel. Show was brilliant, and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves, with plenty of audience participation. Nigel was a class act, and showed his qualities as an all-round entertainer. Beer was nice, and very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly, too. Altogether, a great night.
