Review of D1G1T Launch Party
For an inaugural night this hit all the right notes. Music was banging and without pretence. The djs clearly love what they do and the whole vibe was not unlike Sankeys before the renovation.
There was no attitude which is rare for club events these nights and if you're looking for an intimate night of dancing and hedonistic shape throwing then this is for you. All for under a tenner as well.

Review of GOT SOUL Presents - Miasma + Illgorhythms + Liquid Beach + FBC
Great venue; friendly atmosphere and surprisingly good acoustics. The set by Liquid Beach was magical . Can’t wait to see them perform again.

Review of Ivo Neame Quartet
I have seen Ivo Neame a number of times now in a variety of venue types.
I really enjoyed the gig at the Whiskey Jar. The atmosphere was intimate and friendly. The choice of beverages is almost without equal and the acoustics are good. I am really looking forward to a regular program of live jazz at the Whiskey Jar & if the other live acts are of this calibre then it will be a special time for jazz in Manchester’s Northern Quarter

Review of Ivo Neame Quartet
I spent most of the gig with my hand on my head to prevent my brain from exploding. This is music of literally unbelievable complexity and brilliance played by four exceptional musicians at the top of their game. To see it in such an intimate venue was an amazing privilege. But why is an artist of Ivo Neame's stature and reputation playing to 40 people in a pub basement in a city as big and lively as Manchester?!
