Marungka tjalatjunu / Dipped in Black by Matthew Thorne & Derik Lynch (Australia, 25m)

Winner of Best Short Film: Berlinale Teddy Awards 2023.

Yankunytjatjara man Derik Lynch takes a road trip from the oppression of white city life in Adelaide back home to his remote Anangu Community (Aputula) to perform on sacred Inma ground for spiritual healing as memories from his childhood return.

Golden Voice by Mars Verrone (USA / Cambodia, 18m)

Winner of Best International Short at GAZE Film Festival 2023.

A transgender man returns home to his village where queer and trans community blossomed against all odds during the Cambodian genocide.
