Sour Grapes Records presents...

DELIVERY (AUS)

Confined to quarters during the longest lockdown in the world, a couple – who happen to be musicians – have all the time in the world and nowhere to go. Both Bec and James have been part of Melbourne’s music scene for years, with Bec involved in the punk community while James played in a string of garage/pop acts. Although they’ve been a couple for a while, they’ve never actually made music together. As it turns out, the city’s cautious approach to a global pandemic was the catalyst for Delivery – one of the most brilliant and forceful rock’n’roll bands to emerge from the southern hemisphere in years.

- Heavenly Recordings

The new LP, which follows on from their 2022 debut ‘Forever Giving Handshakes’, is set for release on January 17 via the UK-based Heavenly Recordings, the label home of Kneecap, Saint Etienne, Lynks and more. It’ll be the Melbourne band’s first release for the label.

To coincide with the album’s announcement, the band have shared a new single titled ‘Operating At A Loss’. “I’ve never really worked in a proper office, but ‘Operating At A Loss’ is what I imagine goes on around the professional workplace,” said vocalist/guitarist James Lynch in a press statement. “Lots of business jargon [and] dudes in suits climbing the corporate ladder.”
