Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
Prices too high for drinks and food, dirty toilets and disabled toilets not accessible quick as let open to anyone so had to wait a long time to access them even though I have a key!

The restrictions on what you could bring inside was ridiculous. No refillable bottles , why???? No umbrella but people are inside with umbrellas. No cover for the rain, no caribbean food at a reggae festival. Hardly any seating for the whole day.
Now, to actual event. The sound technicians need firing or retraining. EVERY single act had technical issues. One band only sang one song then went off. The back feed, singers mics lower than the bands, so you can't here them, absolutely atrocious. I don't know if this is their first event but there are lots of lessons to be learned.

Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
People were conned into buying tickets thinking Steel Pulse were headlining but they were never going to play as booked on US tour! Sound problems at start meaning Holly Cook only played one song. Will never book with that promoter again.

Hassle free night out. Great bands some I knew some I didn't but they didn't disappoint. Great concert venue. Not too much of a wait for toilets. Prices for drinks were not cheap but cheaper than some other concert venues.

Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
Booked this specifically to see Steel Pulse, who did not show and rumour was they pulled out a week ago! Why were we not told. The Aces were pulled off stage after 3 songs, but very long gaps between acts.
On the bright side, venue very well organised, loads of bars and food was great!

Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
Steel Pulse were advertised as performing but weren't there, no Caribbean street food, also advertised, The Aces only did 3 songs, Hollie Cook had terrible technical issues and could only perform one song, seems the organisation was poor, every act was late on stage

Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
Not very well organised and not enough information before the gig that headliners steel pulse were not performing which was the main reason for going.Sound quality for most of gig was poor and set up between acts seemed mostly poor.

Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
It would have been a brilliant gig had there not been sound issues throughout.
Some of the groups were frustrated and apologetic but not as frustrated as the punters.
I waited outside the disabled loo for five minutes only for one of the security team to come out.
When I went to transfer my wheelchair to the toilet, I noticed the security guard had pissed all over the seat. I had to do my best to clear it up and sanitise it, and I noticed it otherwise I'd be sitting in piss .

Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
Went with a large group age range 14 to 74 years. There was something for everyone. Sadly original groups advertised did not attend and at times there was gaps in the music but in general amazing thank you

Review of The Margate Reggae Festival
Such a shame the event was so poorly managed. The sound quality was poor at best and two acts didn't even get to play. When they finally sorted there system out it was way to loud and out of balance. So so disappointed
