About
Hall by the Sea is a 1000-capacity indoor venue at Dreamland in Margate. Following its opening in 2017, it has welcomed a range of events; from DJs, live bands and artist’s commissions to live theatre and a gaming festival. In former years, Hall by the Sea was known as the Dreamland Ballroom and played host to The Who and The Rolling Stones amongst many others. Originally built as a second train station to serve Margate in the 1800s, the venue’s history combined with its flexibility and state-of-the-art sound and lighting makes Hall by the Sea a unique destination that has firmly established Dreamland as a venue on the touring network.
