Review of We Are 90\'s Dance LIVE 001
Honestly not worth £65! Can’t believe how bad it was for that! Music was shocking definitely not a walk down memory lane I didn’t know any songs dj impulse played defo wasn’t classic 90’s and definitely didn’t get the mood set for 2 unlimited. Left after no limit the atmosphere was shocking and production was really bad. Dj’s phone was hooked up to spotify and kept pinging every time they got a message! Honestly would not recommend id love my money back as her birthday night was not what it should have been and what it was advertised as. Disappointing

Review of Christmas Rock...A Tribute
Thought I would go to this since it's Christmas and might be good fun. This thought turned out to be misplaced.
We came in for the Guns n Roses tribute band. Drummer had trouble keeping a steady beat, never mind any flourishes. The singer felt like he was winging it, and am pretty sure was mumbling words. I say 'pretty sure' as the sound levels were all over the place.
Nevermind, I'll get a drink in the meantime and it will soon be the next band....£4.60 for regular Carlsberg. Or you could get the special 2 pint cups for £9.20. Pissed off with the current band and want to pop out to a decent pub for half an hour? Security told us we couldnt leave 'O2's decision, I'm just the messenger.' We would have to pay again to re-enter. I even told him how bad the current band were, but he wouldn't budge.
Deep purple and whitesnake saved it music-wise.
This is the problem with places like the 02, they get away with inflated prices for tickets, open the doors early and then if you want a drink you are trapped into paying inflated prices.
Fair play to them for now, they are probably making an absolute killing, but I daresay it won't last. The problem with the pricing structure is that people will leave with a bad taste in their mouth....they only goal to such a souless place to see a band they like. As there are far better venues in Newcastle to watch live music, it needs to be careful it doesn't price itself out o# business.
As for me, I'll be trying to avoid 02-type places from now on.
