Guitarist Tim Bloomer first started playing at Hoochie Coochie at the age of 19, leading the monthly night of improvised funk and soul music ‘The Collective’, which ran from 2012-2016.
Now, nearly a decade later, Tim returns with his long-term musical collaborator Alex Saxon to reignite the spirit of those nights ten years ago, bringing everything he has learned from a decade of touring back to his favourite Newcastle venue for a taste of something new.
Joined by top North East musicians - Rivkala (Becky Tuck) on keys and vocals, Phil Davids on vocals, Ian Paterson on bass, and John Hirst on drums - the return of The Collective will be an evening of electrifying, energetic improvisation with enough swagger to get you dancing all night long.
